Auburn University’s Offensive Coordinator Coach Gus Malzahn will speak to the Columbus Phenix City Auburn Club on Thursday, May 5, 2011 at Green Island Country Club with social hour beginning at 6:00 pm. Space is limited so register early.
Coach Malzahn joined the Auburn University coaching staff as offensive coordinator in 2008. In his first season at Auburn, he broke the previous record for total offense held by the undefeated 2004 team. In 2010, Malzahn’s offense, with Heisman Trophy winner Cam Newton, led the SEC in scoring offense, total offense, rushing offense, pass efficiency, first downs and first down conversions to include a 56-17 win over South Carolina in the SEC Championship in Atlanta. Auburn was ranked #1 and played the Oregon Ducks in the 2010 BCS National Championship winning 22-19. Malzahn was awarded the 2010 Broyles Award recognizing him as the top assistant coach in the nation.

Gameday for Heroes - Community Service Update
Your donations provided over 200 tickets for soldiers to attend Auburn Home Football Games!!! It is a great thing to see the look on the soldiers faces as they see Tiger Walk and experience an Auburn Game Day.
We have now formed Gameday for Heroes, a 501-C-3 corporation and your contributions are now tax deductible.
We are also expanding this service to other schools such as Alabama and Georgia. If you are interested in participating in this worthy cause, please call Jana Tarleton at 706-888-0981.
We are raising funds for this fall's football season and are taking donations of unused basketball tickets for our soldiers.
